Family Ties: Ontario Turns 150



From February 1 to March 31, 2017 (Tuesday to Friday, Noon to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m., closed Monday)

The Amherstburg Freedom Museum will host a temporary exhibit from the Archives of Ontario, which is a companion to the main exhibit, Family Ties: Ontario Turns 150. One of the four families featured is the McCurdy family, with photographs and information from the Alvin McCurdy collection – one of the best Canadian repositories of historical material about people of African descent, housed at the Archives of Ontario.
