Application form

Applications may be submitted at any time throughout the year. Following discussion with Trust staff, an applicant submits an application form with the following enclosures:

• a proposed interpretive text of at least 100 words
• a typed background paper supporting the local significance of the proposed topic (minimum 250 words)
• a list of the sources used in the preparation of the background paper and how they can be found (for documents, their locations; for books, the page references and their author/title/publisher; for magazines/newspapers, their titles/dates/issues)
• a commitment for continuing maintenance of the marker
• a letter of consent from the owner of the property upon which the local marker will be erected
