Recognition programs

Do you know members of your community who help preserve local heritage? Maybe they volunteer at a local museum or team up with an environmental group to keep trails clean. If you know an active heritage advocate in your community, then allow us to reward their efforts.

The Ontario Heritage Trust offers three recognition programs for outstanding contributions made to identifying, preserving, protecting and promoting Ontario’s heritage.

The Lieutenant Governor’s Ontario Heritage Awards commemorate those who have contributed greatly to heritage conservation in their communities. Each year, recipients of these awards are invited to a special ceremony at Queen’s Park, hosted by the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.

How have you participated in your community?
