Vaudeville scenery posters

Own a piece of historic vaudeville scenery!

The Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre is the last operating double-decker theatre in the world. When this National Historic Site was restored by the Ontario Heritage Trust, a remarkable treasure was discovered backstage – the world's largest collection of hand-painted vaudeville scenery flats dating from 1913. Three restored pieces – including the magnificent Butterfly and Scarab scenery flats – are on display at the Theatre Centre. And now you can own these beautiful vaudeville scenery posters!

The poster is a unique size, measuring 15 ¾ inches by 39 ¼ inches (40 centimetres by 100 centimetres), including a black border.

Price: $10 each (plus HST, shipping and handling) or $15 for the set (unframed).

The poster is also available at the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre gift shop during performances (189 Yonge Street in Toronto) and the box office during the day.

The Butterfly and Scarab scenery flats are part of the world's largest collection of original vaudeville scenery that was discovered in the backstage areas when the historic site was restored between 1987 and 1989. The flats are on display in the Theatre Centre's Cascading Lobby.

Restoration of the scenery flats was made possible by generous donations to the Ontario Heritage Trust.
