Open Data

NEW!
On November 7, 2012, the province of Ontario launched a public Ontario Data Catalogue as part of its commitment to Open Government.

The Ontario Heritage Trust provides a broad range of public resources to support research and conservation. Please refer to the inventories below for more information.

  1. An inventory of provincial plaques across Ontario – The Provincial Plaque Program is the Ontario Heritage Trust's oldest and perhaps best-known activity. Provincial plaques make Ontario's history come alive by telling stories of the people, places and events that helped shape our province.
  2. An inventory of Ontario Heritage Trust-owned properties across Ontario – The statutory role of the Ontario Heritage Trust is to identify, protect, promote and conserve Ontario’s Heritage. The Trust serves as the heritage trustee and steward for the people of Ontario. In this capacity, it owns provincially significant cultural and natural heritage sites and properties throughout the province.
