Elizabeth Rabb Beatty 1856-1939

Elizabeth Beatty spent most of her early years in Lansdowne and taught school in Leeds County before studying medicine at Queen's University. Supported by the Presbyterian Church, Dr. Beatty practised in Indore, Central India from 1884 to 1891 where, with Dr. Marion Oliver, she established a hospital for women.
