Peel County Court House

Built in 1865-66 to serve the newly created County of Peel, this buff brick court house was designed by the noted Toronto architect William Kauffmann in a charming, eclectic style that has been described as Venetian Gothic. The court house served as the judicial and administrative centre for the county until 1973 when new facilities were built.
