Wilson Pugsley MacDonald 1880-1967

A lyric poet of fine sensitivity and musical expression, MacDonald, who was born in Cheapside, wrote many poems and ballads celebrating the beauty of the natural world and condemning urbanization. He published several anthologies during the 1920s when his popularity was at its peak.
