Community, family and the hidden histories of Southwestern Ontario, with presenter Thomas Peace

Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 10 a.m.

Presenter Thomas Peace is an associate professor of history at Huron University College, the co-director of the Huron Community History Centre, and an editor at activehistory.ca.

Study upon study demonstrates that what matters most about the past is how it relates to our own experiences. Family and community are what is important. In this presentation we will discuss why this is, how it complicates teaching and learning about the past, and what tools are available to mitigate these challenges.
