COVID-19 protocols

The Ontario Heritage Trust is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all staff, visitors and contractors at our sites. In keeping with government and regional health unit rules and guidelines, we have implemented these enhanced health and safety measures.

If you visit either Fulford Place or Uncle Tom’s Cabin Historic Site, you can expect the following measures to ensure that you have a safe in-person experience:

All visitors must book timed-entry tickets in advance prior to visiting one of the Trust’s museums.

We are limiting the number of people on site at any one time to allow for increased physical distancing.

We ask that everyone wear a mask or face covering while visiting our museum sites – for indoor and outdoor tours. If it’s not possible for you to wear a mask or face covering due to a pre-existing health condition, or other reasons protected by the Ontario Human Rights Code, please email the site in advance and we will attempt to accommodate, if possible. For Fulford Place, email fulford@heritagetrust.on.ca, or, for Uncle Tom’s Cabin Historic Site, email utchs@heritagetrust.on.ca.

We have increased our cleaning schedule and will be disinfecting high-touch and high-traffic areas.

Before taking part in on-site activities at any of our museum sites, everyone will be asked a series of health screening questions. Should you answer yes to any of the following questions, either before your visit or when you arrive, we will ask you to visit us another time.
