Loyalist Landing Place 1784, The

In 1783, some 250 loyalist refugees led by Peter Van Alstine sailed from New York City bound for a new life in a new country. After wintering at Sorel, they proceeded up the St. Lawrence River to their destination in Adolphustown Township on the Bay of Quinte.
