Sip + Sketch

Friday, February 16, 2018 from 7 to 9 p.m.

To celebrate Black History Month, the Buxton National Historic Site & Museum, along with Buxton’s Next Generation, The Thames Art Gallery and Art Space are hosting Sip & Sketch. This fun evening will help you discover what hidden talents you have as you sketch a piece of art that depicts what Black history means to you. It could be a picture of your favourite Underground Railroad activist, the North Star, a silhouette of a couple escaping – just use your imagination! Local artist Jon Olbey will describe and demonstrate the various techniques that can be used. You will also have a choice of wine from Early Acres, beer from Sons of Kent or punch. Refreshments will be provided by the William Street Café.

Cost: $40 per person (supplies, food and beverages included) | SPACE IS LIMITED
