Chinese New Year Celebrations
Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This Chinese new year – running from Thursday, February 19, 2015 until Sunday, February 7, 2016 – marks the Year of the Wood Sheep. As part of the Chinese New Year celebrations coordinated throughout Owen Sound, Grey Roots Museum & Archives will be hosting a variety of cultural activities. Come and see a Fai Chun calligraphy demonstration, a Gu Zhang musical performance, a Chinese fan dance or the Hung Ga martial arts demonstration. There will also be a presentation on the history of Chinese in Owen Sound. Join in the celebrations! Regular admissions apply for visitors to museum exhibits.
