Christmas at the Cabin

Monday, November 24 to Saturday, December 13, 2014

Experience a joyous Christmas celebration in historical Dresden, Ontario.

The First Regular Baptist Church, a Black congregational church founded in 1857, is hosting a pioneer Christmas banquet. Your day begins in the kitchen of the church where you’ll prepare your own Christmas pudding. While it cooks, you’ll go on a guided tour of Uncle Tom's Cabin Historic Site, home of Josiah Henson. On returning, you will be energized by a sermonette. We'll "Lift Every Voice and Sing" some of those old spirituals that gave runaways the strength and courage to seek freedom in the North. The day concludes with a turkey dinner feast and fellowship in the church hall with friends.

Note: This program is only available to motor coach groups of 35 people or more. Call 519-683-2978 for more details. Please book by November 7.
