Thunder Bay’s East End has a long and complicated, but fascinating history in the development of the city. From its origins as the site of a vibrant fur trading fort, to the arrival of the railway after the post’s decline, to the growth of a diverse working-class neighbourhood, the East End serves in many respects as a microcosm of the story of Thunder Bay.
