Remembering the First World War: Ontario in transition

The Ontario Heritage Trust has recently developed a multi-year interpretive plan. Starting this year, the Trust will be organizing its public programming and educational activities – including Heritage Week – according to annual interpretive and commemorative themes. The theme for 2014 is Remembering the First World War: Ontario in transition.

The Trust’s Heritage Week kick-off is set for Friday, February 14 at the Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Borden. Learn more

The Trust will also be organizing events for some of its own museum sites throughout Heritage Week – including Fulford Place in Brockville, Uncle Tom’s Cabin Historic Site in Dresden and the Parliament interpretive centre in Toronto. Communities across Ontario will also celebrate Heritage Week with their own special events and activities that range from exhibits, lectures and workshops to informal gatherings and tours.
