Thomas William Holmes, V.C. 1898-1950

For his courageous initiative in the fighting at Passchendale in the First World War, Holmes was awarded the Victoria Cross. After the war, he returned to his hometown of Owen Sound and later worked for the harbour commission in Toronto.
