Drawing Ecologies: Garden Tour and Drawing Workshop at the Ashbridge Estate

Join us for a free public art installation and creative workshop.
ANIMAL PARTY is a free, immersive public art installation and creative workshop happening at Toronto’s Ashbridge Estate, exploring playful and thoughtful ways to connect with land, history and ecology.
Under the canopy of willow trees, visitors are invited into a soft, sensory space — featuring soft sculptures, ambient soundscapes and reflections drawn from archival and ecological histories of the site.
Garden tour and drawing workshop: July 3, 2025, from 10 a.m. to Noon (Ashbridge Estate meeting room)
- Guided garden tour with Ojibiikaan Indigenous Cultural Network
- Ashbridge Estate history chat led by Ontario Heritage Trust staff
- Drawing session led by artist Ashley Snook
- Inspired by plant life, stewardship and Ashbridge archival materials
- Free | All materials provided | All ages welcome
- Limited to 10 participants

Evening activations: Thursday, July 3 to Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. (under the willow tree at the Ashbridge Estate)
- Sit, listen and explore an installation featuring bioacoustics recorded from the site's willow trees
- Soft sculptural forms and ambient lighting
- A space to reflect, reconnect and rest in nature
- FREE (no registration required)
Closing celebration: Saturday, July 5, 2025 (evening)
- Join us for a final night of stargazing, story and sound
