Great Storm of 1913, The

One of the worst storms in the history of the Great Lakes raged for three days in November 1913 during which 19 vessels were destroyed and 244 lives lost. Lake Huron bore the brunt of the storm's fury, and extensive salvage operations were conducted along the length of the county's shoreline.
