Ferguson Highway, The
This 415-kilometre trunk road from North Bay to Cochrane was built in 1925-27 to link the developing mining and agricultural communities of New Ontario with the province's southern regions. Named after the Honourable Howard G. Ferguson, a strong promoter of northern development, the road now forms parts of the Trans-Canada Highway.
