Full steam ahead! Fulford Place takes visitors on an exciting voyage across time on the Magedoma, a restored Edwardian luxury yacht formerly owned by the Fulford family.

During this 45-minute talk, guests will sail away to the Gilded Age as Brian Porter, as Captain Mallette, explores the opulent history of luxury boating in the Thousand Islands. Learn about the highs and lows of the Magedoma—from its near destruction to total restoration, and its triumphant return to Brockville in 2011.

Porter is a founding member of the Brockville Infantry Company historical re-enactors and a recipient of the 2012 Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal, awarded for his contributions to local history.

Fulford Place is a National Historic Site owned and operated by the Ontario Heritage Trust, dedicated to identifying, preserving, protecting and promoting Ontario’s heritage.
