Henie Frances, Toronto

I met my husband at the end of March 1964. I was 17, a Grade 13 student, and doing a three-day public relations job at a convention in a downtown Toronto hotel, where he was in sales for the event. He invited me out and took me to the Dunlap Observatory where the planet Venus was being observed. It was such an unusual first date, as most local boys would usually take a date to a movie or out for coffee. As we entered, he took my hand and led me up the stairs. Later that evening, he took me dancing and really swept me off my feet. We have been married for 55 years, and when I look into his eyes, I still see stars!
