Childhood Lost – The Story of Canada's Home Children

Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 7 to 9 p.m.

All are welcome to this film screening of Childhood Lost – a documentary examining the fate of 100,000 British children shipped to Canada between 1869 and 1939 to work as farm labourers. Following the screening, Sandra Joyce, Executive Director of the British Home Children Advocacy and Research Association, will make a short presentation and will be available to answer questions. The event is free. Old-fashioned kettle corn will be available (donations accepted for the kettle corn, with proceeds going to local heritage initiatives). Door prizes.
