Colonial Advocate, The

An influential journal of radical reform, the Colonial Advocate was published by William Lyon Mackenzie from his home in Queenston briefly in 1824 before he moved his press to Toronto. Because of its anti-government stand, the paper was in constant financial trouble but continued to be published, somewhat irregularly, for 10 years.
