Harry G.B. Miner, V.C. 1891-1918

During a Canadian attack near Amiens on August 8, 1918, Corporal Miner captured a machinegun post singlehanded. For his conspicuous bravery on this and other occasions, the Cedar Springs native was posthumously awarded the Croix de Guerre and the Victoria Cross.
