In 2021, the Province of Ontario established Ontario Day to recognize the contributions made by Ontarians to the province’s social, economic, political and cultural fabric. As part of this year’s celebrations, the Trust is opening the following sites free of charge on June 1 for you to come out and explore our province’s unique heritage.

Josiah Henson Museum of African-Canadian History

Come and explore this fascinating museum for free (from Noon to 3 p.m.) and enjoy an informative guided tour of the site. No pre-registration required.

Cheltenham Badlands

To celebrate Ontario Day, visit the spectacular Cheltenham Badlands (from dawn to dusk). But you still need to secure a free parking spot via ParkPass before you can visit. Spaces are limited.

Fulford Place

Visit Fulford Place for free (from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and take a guided tour of the mansion (available on the hour) or a self-guided tour any time during the day. No pre-registration required.
