The OHA Register features a searchable database that provides information about properties in Ontario that have been designated using the Ontario Heritage Act (OHA).

The vast majority of historically important places are protected by municipalities using the tools and powers given to them by the OHA. Since the OHA was passed in 1975, municipalities have sent documents about designated properties to the Ontario Heritage Trust – they are legislated to do this under the OHA. Information about designated properties from across the province is kept in one central place at the Trust and is now available to the public on the OHA Register.

Developing the online component of the OHA Register is a work in progress and Trust staff are working to get all statutory documents scanned and available on the website.

If you have questions or cannot locate the information you are looking for, email or call the Provincial Heritage Registrar at registrar@heritagetrust.on.ca or 437-246-8606.
